This week has been a bit off for me at work, weeks around holidays always are! Countless days off, then a few days working, then more time off...drives me a little crazy. And I'm not getting the raise I had hoped for, but oh well, hopefully in time :)
Alfred (the boy) and I are doing very well. We got to spend this entire last weekend together, which was really nice. He came up for the Christmas party on Friday, and he got me Boondock Saints action figures!! I flipped out! ALOT! Lol, they have become a staple of fun at work, even a few pics on FB for those wanting to see. Back to the party...well it was awesome, lots of laughs, it was a good group. And everyone loved Alfie (Kim confirmed that just yesterday) and that makes me happy. I know he's a great guy, but it's always nice to hear it from other people :) After the party we went down to Alfie's place and hung out, made a late night Jack In the Box run with the roomies (Jason and Sarah...they pretty much rock) and generally had a good night.
Saturday morning I realized I totally forgot to pack pants so we came all the way back to my place to pick some up lol, but it was balanced by going to Cafe 50's for breakfast. Once again, the blintzes delivered!! And then we headed out to Venice Beach and had a great time just walking the boardwalk. After Venice, we met up with Alfred's best friend Johnny (cool guy) and his other roommate I hadn't met yet, Kalieka. She was very cool (seems to be the theme with his roommates) and we had a great time hanging out at the mall, and then seeing Sherlock Holms. I had a *tinge* bit of jealousy (totally unfounded except for the fact that I am a girl) but Alfie was good and just let me...do my thing (which consists of shutting up and pulling away a bit until I'm done being a bitchy girl lol). It was nice to see he can deal with me, cuz I can be a hard one to handle ;)
Then Sunday we went out to breakfast at The Pancake House with like 7 other people lol. It was a big group, and we had a good time. Later on I got to play Mario Bro's (yes the original) while Alfred and Johnny played DJ Hero in the other room. Sunday was a really good day of just hanging out, I like those :) We did a few random other things and then spent some alone time before he had to take me home. Lol, he was convinced that we would spend like 30mins making out and then he would take me home and be home by 11pm. Lol...at 1am we finally left. What can I say, we have time traveling powers :)
I'm naturally a happy girl. I don't need a boy to make me happy, my life is awesome single or not. But it is nice to have someone who is like icing on the cake. He's kinda awesome...and I'm a bit excited to see where this goes.
